What will we provide?

Waterlily House is a residential, recovery-focused mental health service combining Open Dialogue and Therapeutic Community principles to provide pioneering care that creates lasting change and ripples into the community.

Who we support?

We welcome adults (18+) with serious mental illness (including psychosis, bipolar disorder, severe depression), autism or other neurodiverse needs, learning disabilities and complex, longterm mental health challenges. Many guests will have experienced multiple inpatient admissions or placement breakdowns.

Shared Living

A supportive and safe environment where individuals build independence while engaging in community life. Guests will contribute to the daily running of the service, participate in decision-making, and benefit from peer support. Lifestyle education will be seamlessly integrated into community living, such as learning cookery with our in-person chef.

Sessions are focused on enhancing personal development, building self-esteem, and strengthening coping skills. Guests will also be offered art therapy, mindfulness practices, and personalised coaching.

Our multidisciplinary team provides tailored care using the Open Dialogue model, supporting individuals transitioning from acute mental health pathways. Integrated with community resources, we offer specialised support for rehabilitation, housing, and employment.

Open Dialogue emphasises open communication and dialogue between service users, their families, and the treatment team. This approach values transparency, honesty, and flexibility in exploring and addressing the needs and concerns of individuals in distress – we will ensure all our staff have a level of Open Dialogue training.

Opening in Kettering, Northamptonshire, Waterlily House is a Level 1 & 2 residential-based rehabilitation service for adults aged 18+ living with serious mental illness, autism, and/or learning disabilities.

We offer 20 private studios and 4 self contained apartments, designed around smaller living units with gender sensitive layouts. Our integrated model blends the Open Dialogue approach with Therapeutic Community principles, fostering hope, purpose, and connection.

Guests can enjoy communal lounges, two shared kitchens, three dining areas, gardens, outdoor courtyards, an IT suite, and art/craft spaces. Our onsite chef leads daily cookery sessions and weekly menu planning for those who wish to join.
